Your eating habits are directly related to your productivity, If we are not having right amount and right kind of food stuffs on daily basis we’re making our own brain cells die.
More cells dead, more loss of memory and more decline of productivity. Check out the killer food habits which you might be observing unknowingly.
Missing out Breakfast
Do you sometimes skip your meals due to our over busy schedule? Having engrossed in your work may de-prioritize your having our meal, and especially the breakfast. The breakfast is an essential meal to sustain our blood sugar levels after the longest gap. Missing out your breakfast leads to insufficient supply of nutrients causing degeneration of brain cells.
Junk food
A little bit of junk food won’t hurt, but having unhealthy junk food regularly is dangerous. When your brain cells aren’t provided with the healthy nutrients which they require to survive, they starve and die eventually. Choose healthy foods and give your brains the adequate nutrients that they need to flourish.
Over Eating
Generally when we find some tasty food, we start eating more than our body requirement, Though after a while we regret having it. Over eating is bad for our brain function and it makes us mentally confused, it also causes hardening of our brain arteries, leading to a stiffness and decreased mental power to productive. It makes us more susceptible to diseases typical of older people, while calorie restriction keeps the brain active.
Sugar Consumption
The brain needs a steady supply of energy that will last until more energy comes along. Glucose is the only source of energy for the brain and to work effectively our brain needs minimum of about 150 grams of glucose per day. The brain’s neurons must have this supply of energy from the bloodstream since they aren’t capable of storing energy, like fat, for later use.
High sugar consumption can interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interface in brain development. They are more at risk to develop depression and different cognitive problems with memory, processing information and recognizing spatial patterns. It can even lead to dementia. People who suffer from diabetes have a 65% higher incidence of Alzheimer’s disease than those who are not diabetic.
Too much alcohol
Chances are good that getting drunk in a while probably won’t kill any of your brain cells. It might lead to better mental function by improving your cardiovascular health, in turn leading to better blood circulation in the brain. It might also have a beneficial effect on the neurotransmitters or chemical messengers in the brain.
On the same time if you frequently drink too much alcohol, you will most likely damage your brain cells. Alcohol can cause a temporary chemical imbalance and structural changes, Scientific studies has shown that alcoholic patients can cause decreased brain volume and serious neurological damage, including Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome
Water Balance
Without sufficient levels of water in the brain, ions get disrupted and the result is harming brain cells. So it is important to stay hydrated, but be reasonable, the hypotonic state of brain results in water toxicity which is not healthy for the brain. So we must have optimum water levels to avoid dehydration and keep your brain cells healthy, you know what’s right for your body.
