Since childhood found it quite funny in my observation of elders from our Hindu community to be particular about the fixed colours they wear on different days. These colours are considered to have great significance and bring good luck if you do so, moreover it was same for every week. I took it as a boring ritualistic approach and use to do it altogether contrary.

Later on when my schedule got busier and I was not left with any time to choose my dresses for different days I concluded that it is wonderful to have fixed band of colors for you. May be I was psychologically conditioned but it also bring in some good luck during my day.
