Dancing with Stars

by | May 9, 2009 | Idiosyncrasies

Dancing is a matter of joy, festivity and prosperity. Irrespective of the fact whether one is capable of dancing or not it is true that every one has got a desire to dance. When one in not in a position to dance he or she enjoy’s watching others dance. This is the reason for the grand success of UK Television Dancing Show Strictly Come Dancing in over 30 countries including America, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy.

As per Wikipedia: Dance is a sport and art form that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting. Dance is also used to describe methods of non-verbal communication (see body language) between humans or animals (bee dance, patterns of behaviour such as a mating dance), motion in inanimate objects (the leaves danced in the wind), and certain musical forms or genres. In sports, gymnastics, figure skating and synchronized swimming are dance disciplines while martial arts kata are often compared to dances.

Jhalak Dikhla Ja is the indian counterpart of this show. Despite of my hectic schedule I try not to miss the dancing show Jhalak Dihkla Ja being telecast on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is rich with celebrities and well known faces to perform with professional dance partners on a highly competitive stage. The show is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions in India and this time it is it’s season – 3.

Out of twelve contestants Maine Pyar Kiya fame Bhagyashree, Magician Ugesh Sarcar, Music Director Anand Raj Anand, Veteran Cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, TV Actor Ram Kapoor, Movie Heroines Monica Bedi and Shilpa Shukla are already out now the show is left with TV Soap Stars Karan Singh and Parul Chauhan, Footballer who refused to carry the Olympic torch Bhaichung Bhutia, Model Gauhar Khan and Indian Rapper Hard Kaur. The Indian Football star Baichung Bhutia is my favourite contestant of the show. My vote and support is with him.

Hey Riddhi, you seem to be upset with Baichung, this donkey has expression in his body. I hope you will appreciate that dancing is not his neiche furthermore he is dedicated, cute and innocent.
