Scale of Good

 Good scale

This is surprising fact to learn that it is altogether different if we move towards the negative side of a scale for a particular parameter. The two extremes of the scale seem to be two different entities but in fact, they are one. It is we who have to decode and tune in somewhere between the scale.

For example, in the case of heat energy which can be measured by its degree of hotness, we can have different bands of heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can touch 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it.

The same is the case with darkness it is the absence of Light. You can have different bands of light like low light, normal light, bright light, and flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you will strike to nothing, and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t anything. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

In a similar fashion evil is nothing but absence of Good.

Good & Bad, Scale of Good
