In year 2011, total 256,618 people entered NaNoWriMo, but only 36,843 completed it to the end. Have you ever pondered why only 14% of the total were able to accomplish it. Why only always few are able to complete the set targets?
Why?
I am quite sure as soon as you start your project some one jumps on you to distract you and then you see now you have got a tons of work falling in right front of you.
Result
I have already heard some whispers, “Why the heck November? I can choose a month of my choice…” or “there will be another NaNo next year.”
Conspiracy
If you are not into much serious writing lately, or if you are struggling to be steady with your writing, NaNoWriMo might be a chance to make a powerful writing habit. But fact remains that however keen you feel on day one, you may find that your motivation flags as the month goes on as the universe start conspiring against you.
Know Thyself
I guess Nano suits best to the writers who simply jumps down to write down a careless draft the ones who enjoy getting words down fast. If you know you’d be really upset to take on a challenge and “fail” then NaNo probably isn’t for you. Again, you could still take part if you’re willing to set yourself a slightly less ambitious goal. If you are still planning to tackle NaNoWriMo this year read Gripping Approaching Deadline, and best of luck! 🙂
Hold your tabs and get set go…
NaNoWriMo is short for “National Novel Writing Month”. It takes place every November, where writers all over the world aim to write a 50,000 word novel in just 30 days.
