Efficient & Perfectionist both the words are positive and seem to be close but if we scrutinize, it is not so. An Efficient is one who produces more output where as the Perfectionist may bring quality produce but less.
You can’t be both
It can be correlated to Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle in which when you go to catch one parameter another one is out of your hand. You have to plot yourself somewhere between the both coordinates.
When I restarted my writing I was in a fix to produce quality write-ups or to touch quantity numbers. I tried both ways and decided it for myself to restrict me at a point where I realized that I am doing it in excess. The whole point is to cope up with it there and then.
Generally I avoid discussing people but a wonderful example crossed my head, in our film fraternity most of us know the rival Khans, Shahrukh and Aamir. The former is known for his Efficiency and the latter is known for his Perfection. Here we see that former is more social and the latter is less and gives only one movie in a year though it matches certain standards but we can’t say that the other one produces scrap. Both are exceptionally good and adored by masses, it is the matter of your prioritizing a quality for you and landing at point of contentment.
You have to tune yourself somewhere in between there may be times when you have to be more efficient and some times you have to be uncompromising until you reach a point of your contentment before presenting it. Now it’s you to decide, “Who is the winner?”
