Being in this world…

Your Workplace

by | Mar 3, 2008 | Productivity

How is your workplace, room, or work desk where you spend most of the time while working? Do you love it or does it simply not affect you or sometimes you are annoyed by it? Whatever it is, it gives your reflection as a whole. I have gathered a few points that might just brighten the place you spend your time:

Place an inspirational picture and quotation on the wall to help you stay focused on your goals.

There should be a properly marked place always in front of your eyes where you can daily update your ‘To Do Lists’. It can be a small notice board.

Fragrance your living space with uplifting essential oils such as Jasmine to promote clarity of mind.

Introduce a couple of flower pots or indoor plants to purify the air.

Keep wall coverings plain and stick to neutral colors to avoid eye strain.

Make sure furnishings are practical and comfortable but strive for a minimalist look.

Get some fresh air! Good ventilation is important, especially if you are using computers and other electrical equipment.

According to ‘Feng-Shui’ place a picture of the sea or some water feature in the north of your room for wealth.

According to ‘Vaastu-Shastra’ your workstation should be east facing. This is for greater efficiency at work.

Throw away unnecessary things to reduce clutter and make sure your living space is neat and clean.

Set everything in such a way so that the available space comes up as enhanced.

Even minor changes can increase your efficiency; brighten your mood and sense of well-being.

Efficiency, Work place
