I hardly get any time to go to market; my office is in the out skirts of town. Last week when I had to get my mobile phone tariff plan changed I was in worry because the date on which my bill has generated has already crossed and if I do some more delay I’ll be paying penalty for it.
I was struggling hard to find opportunity to go the mobile company office. At last when I didn’t found any way out to solve this I recapitulated a friend of mine whose office was just adjacent to the mobile company office.
The idea was to ask him to pay my bill which was not a very hefty amount and I shall catch up with him on the coming Sunday to pay this credit. Though I was not sure whether he will be able to spare his precious time for this job or not, still I went off to take the chance. In today’s scenario every one is stuck in his or her schedule and it is not a big thing that someone forgets even his own very important tasks. I called up my friend and shared my problem with him. He happily agreed to do this for me.
By the end of the day he was unable to execute it for me and due to which I suffered slightly. More importantly he didn’t felt need to share that what went wrong even he didn’t bothered to check out later how I coped up with it.
Irrespective of the fact that my mobile tarrif plan got changed or not the fact remains that I was shaky when I called him up. I can recapitulate some rare responsible faces, which are particular in their accountability and commitment. I can name some one with the same level of intimacy which I had with my this friend whom I am confident off
All of us are in a process of creating our self portraits by doing our daily routine jobs. I related the whole incident to myself as if when I am asked to do some job, how much sure are my folks for getting fulfilled their expectations out of me. I felt it like a blessing to check the commitment quotient. It is very important and plays a serious role in ones growth in life. Please check yours. Every job is a self portrait of the person who does it. Always autograph your work with excellence.
Mood: Complacent
Good for you for realizing your own commitment — that’s definitely a blessing! It is too bad that your friend did not have the same. I love your words, “Every job is a self portrait of the person who does it.” I wrote that down and shall cross stitch it into a picture frame one day. I wondered why you could not mail the bill/money. . .
Glad to see that the message of the post got conveyed. I wasn’t able to mail the money coz I have surrendered my on-line payment card due to some personal reasons. Thanks for visiting.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience with all. I’ll try to draw my portrait in a better way.
Thanks for dropping by!
I am sorry your friend let you down. However, it may be that money was a problem for your friend as well. Some people say, “yes,” to requests because they do not like to say, “no.”
Have a blessed week.
Yeap, I thought on those lines and I wish the same to be true but if inability to dialogue is the problem then it is serious while portraiting your own sketch.
Hmmm, can’t trust on others these days..
