Being in this world…

My Schedulers

by | Feb 1, 2009 | Idiosyncrasies

I am grand believer of rituals because rituals keep us in routine. The ritual of doing morning prayers keeps me on edge in every sphere of my life. The kind of psyche which has been evolved so far makes me loose confidence if I skip this ritual. I cannot categorize this activity as a work instead it is part of life just like another metabolic activity and it serves like a tonic.

Though I am an early riser but in the reduced days of winter and the kind of loaded state (expectant) my wife is going through I have to compromise one or other tasks in order to manage my prayers. Almost every morning I struggle hard to spare some time for my morning prayers as I am doing them just before leaving to office. After doing my prayers in hurry I experience worthlessness within.

Today I am going to share is I have found an easy remedy to come out of this struggle. There are two small prayer booklets from which I recite some hymns and the whole process takes ten to fifteen minutes. Now I have kept my prayer books in my workplace drawer. When people reach office before initiating their routine works they get indulged in a warm-up gossip session and when the cat (boss) is away this session continues for hours. Though I seldom get stuck in such sessions I have started stealing some time from my idle state for my prayer tonic.

Thanks for sharing. If weather permits, you may also want to take advantage of the break given to smokers. Just take a prayer break.
