Being in this world…

Secret to tell

by | Feb 16, 2009 | Idiosyncrasies

Today I am going to share with you the secret of my efficiency. Good diet, disciplined workout, and adequate rest, all of us know these tips to stay fit,. If we neglect these stipulates, our bodies become weak and highly susceptible to infections and we eventually will become unwell.

Additional more important, but least realized, is the inner self need of spiritual nourishment. If we ignore our spiritual health requirements, we become overwhelmed by negative material tendencies like anxiety, hatred, loneliness, prejudice, greed, boredom, envy, and anger with diminished resistance. With all this how so ever fit your body may be you are not fit.

I try to cultivate the latter health by little chanting in my daily routine. I have discovered that chanting everyday is excellent and important. Though I perform it whenever I feel stressed but if done at a particular time and posture, it can bring wonders. I seldom compromise with my morning prayers but I am struggling hard with my evening prayers. It is very simple, very easy to recite, if you think of the benefits these are mammoth.

When you chant in rhythmic tone with ups and downs, they create a melodious effect in the body. This effect reaches your neurons. This effect will be possible even if you do not know the meaning of the mantra. Hence knowing the meaning of every chant is not compulsory but only a value addition. Not only reciting chants but simply listening to rhythm directly lowers blood pressure, normalizes heart beat rate, brain wave pattern, adrenalin level, even cholesterol level.

Just try, if you feel like…

I fully agree here. Morning prayer somehow make me fully charged for the day ahead. These days you hardly get to speak pure hindi and sanskrit words in your daily life. I was not aware of the benefits as you have mentioned in the last sentence of the post, but listening to myself while chanting prayers is something I look forward to. Prayers make me feel a more compassionate human being. Those 15 minutes in the morning are all mine talking and interacting with HIM. Everything else is just shut out.

Loved this post, after a hard, dull day on the internet… 😉
