How to Be Smart in a World of Dumb?

by | Feb 21, 2013 | Critique

Unboxed once again a brand new day! But wait I can clearly see you need more time, time to rise, time to grow, time to let go. You need the same gift of time, over and again. Time for some serious thinking..

We are into a one way tunnel of time which can heal us but never waits, Isn’t it great. Some of you might ask, what’s so great about it? For me it is a wonderful phenomenon to learn variety of life experiences in different forms. Furthermore it is time to check how we are doing so far in every front of life. In my whole day while I am busy in doing various works and interacting with various people I see an opportunity to compensate the loop-holes in my productivity. To do so I have compiled some thoughtful points which will help you act smart by expanding your time.

Remain Joyfully Excited

Have you received some gift lately, the real joy lies in un-boxing the gift rather than using it later! Take your life in similar fashion, start your day with excitement and do not forget to nourish your passions. You’ll be known for your work and not for simply yourself. So please don’t try becoming energy parasites for the people you are surrounded with! In the tunnel of time when you’ll later look back your passions only will make you happy and proud, nothing else.

Personal Branding

Our self-proclaimed halo is an essential part of our baggage as we go ahead, and as an essential check we need to know our clear focus. Always remember you yourself are a brand! Either positively or negatively, you are always endorsing yourself. Be it your home, locality or office you are creating your brand image. We need to understand, How your branding happens on the surface? Whenever we are self-conceited mostly we start endorsing ourselves which turn out in eventually in a negative fashion. We seek attention of others by bragging our achievements and we never realize when we start exaggeration, bragging or boasting, this is somehow related to our low esteem.

Spotlight

In a recent realization of mine I found whenever we indulge in a discussion, do we make any effort to take notice of the direction of discussion. Is the discussion getting meaningful and are you appreciating the achievements so far what ever you have discussed so far. If you make it an integral part of your discussion habit you will realize you are actually adding value to yourself. Your fellows are thinking better about you, they have learnt something out of it. It will add a leadership quality in your profile.

Control

Please take a careful note on do you always love to talk about yourself? Good leaders always put a focus on others betterment and they never let others down. If we keep on criticizing others and always focus on our own progress, it can’t take us long way. We should never miss opportunities to speak out the heartfelt praise for our fellows.

Support

Whenever you are trying hard to achieve heights which are quite crucial for yourself, you really require support of good credentials. After having credentials you always need to endorse yourself like a brand.  This might be to convince your girlfriend for marriage or to get a good increment at your work. To do so in a positive light entails for your getting successful.

Keep Learning & Stay Fit

In order to be progressive you need to upgrade your knowledge on new things and I trust reading is a very good way to keep learning. On the same time you need to check your body fitness level. When there is already so much to do in the same amount time? Here is one trick you can safely club your jogging time with your reading time. When I say reading I mean listening to an audio book on your gadget while on move. You can find thousands of free audio books here at Librivox, it is a public domain project.

See keep reading, running and stay productive!
