Sholay – this ‘legendary movie‘ was released forty years back on 15th August 1975. After a slow start it smashed all previous records and till date remains the all time favorite of movie buffs.

Why the Sholay climax was altered?

Due to the imposed emergency by Indian Govt the strict censors disallowed the violent end and forced the makers to shoot an alternate ending where Gabbar Singh is spared by Thakur and handed over to the cops. Here is the original ending that was shot but was never released on Indian screens!
