Have you taken your meal today? There are still many people in this so called modern world who go to sleep with their hungry stomach. There are many others who eat the waste of others.
I was stirred to watch this award winnning short film is about the hunger and poverty brought about by Globalization.
There are 10,000 people dying everyday due to hunger and malnutrition. This short film shows a forgotten portion of the society. The people who lives on the refuse of men to survive. What is inspiring is the hope and spirituality that never left this people. Directed by: Ferdinand Dimadura, 2005
At least I am seeking one promise from you today to not to waste your fod and if left please share it with some one in need.

I promise! I get discouraged because our church wastes so much food, especially when we have big dinners as at Thanksgiving, annual meeting, etc. I say, “At least let’s compost,” so I am trying to train the cleanup people on what can or cannot go in the compost bin. We also pick up HUGE bags from Panera Bread every Saturday evening and deliver them on Sunday to Siena Francis House, a homeless shelter. Although sometimes they have little pineapple cakes that become my “lunch.” Blessings….
I promise as well – I have been guilty in these past months since loosing my daughter and having my other daughter away at college – I was not used to cooking for just two people!
But I have been trying lately and this was a good reminder that we should waste not!
Thank you
