You simply choose to live a different life, no one will force you to shed your laziness, addictions and cynicism. It takes a great conscious effort to snap out of such a grasp and face reality. Customs usually can enslave you for life unless you decide to change your fate. It is only when you cannot live without something that you put effort to get it.
Habits are compulsory behavioural routines that are repeated regularly and tend to occur subconsciously, without one being conscious about them. Habitual behaviour often goes unnoticed in persons exhibiting it, because a person does not need to engage in self-analysis when undertaking routine tasks. Habituation is an extremely simple form of learning, in which an organism, after a period of exposure to a stimulus, stops responding to that stimulus in varied manners.
I believe it is very important to know the process behind formation of our habits. The human brain is like a computer that processes and interprets information to simplify the way we live our lives. All messages sent by the nerves will be interpreted by the brain and meaningful conclusions will be formed from the interpretations. Our habits are simply a series of patterns.
If you do something one time, there will be one connection. If you do something two times, the second connection will combine with the first one and create a stronger, bigger neural connection. Thus, the more frequently you do something, the bigger and stronger the neural connection becomes. The secret is to wake up every morning with a desire to change your life and thus beginning enjoying life. Otherwise, if you have no longing to achieve something difficult you will not be eager or ready for tomorrow.
“You will find the key to success under the alarm clock.” – Sir Benjamin Franklin
