The Fliz is a A new bicycle designed by German engineers Tom Hambrock and Juri Spetter, it has no pedal, running bike designed in Germany as an alternative means of urban transportation. The concept bike frame is different than most as it has no seat or pedals and hence must be weighing less then the ordinary bike.
It requires the rider to run or walk to generate speed. The bike is based on the world’s first bicycle which was created by German inventor Karl Drais in 1817, it also operated without pedals.
Riders of the Fliz must strap themselves into a harness which is a 5 point belt system. After gaining some momemtum, the rider lift legs onto the footrests which are located near the rear wheel of bike. The frame works like a top carrier suspension and the belt acts like a saddle.
As per designers “Objective of developing Fliz was to bring a completely new driving experience to everyone, Its laminated, innovative frame with 5 point belt system provides a comfortable, ergonomic ride between running and biking.”
