After watching couple of episodes of Sach Ka Saamna I realized that there is no learning from this program. Telling truth all the time can take you and your known ones to a very embarrassing situation. I found that the objective of the program is to ridicule the participants who approach the show in hope of a good amount of money. All the participants seem to be in dire need of money but unfortunately one lie and you are out.
When speaking truth does not involve any harm then one should speak truth without a hesitation. But when sometimes telling a lie becomes a better option you should not tell the truth. If we remove the illusionary ethics we’ll find that there is hardly any difference between a lie & truth. There are no moral principles involved in it, to tell a lie requires courage equally as we do in case of truth.
In our society the human values seem to depend upon truth, we are taught to speak truth from our childhood. I trust telling a truth always is not good and important rather it is mechanical; furthermore no one can afford to speak truth always. A truth may sometime take life and a lie can turn a lifer saver.
Reputed and needy people come on the television show and tell their private truths with their proud heads upward in front of their children, parents, spouse and society thinking that their folks will respect for this. On the contrary when these people reach back home without money, all the promises by their folks to forgive them are ignored in a moment and they become the target of one and all. They are forced to lead their rest of life with insult and humiliation.
Private Indian television is blindly aping the western shows. I can’t remember any show which had some originality. These shows have the same pleasure quotient as that of the FakeIndianPlayer Blog. These shows are simply making people peep into other people’s bedrooms. I left watching television long back.
Remember the movie, Phir bhi dil hai hindustani… We are surely reaching the situation as depicted in the movie.
The Indian Television industry has undergone a drastic change in the past couple of years. It changed in terms of viewership, budget of making serials and gamut of serials. These days, TV channels are busy in increasing their TRPs…no matter what the price is…the private players are willing to pay for it to get hold of viewership. For this, they can ridicule public or telecast the same news repetitively and claim their channel is the first one to do it.
Thats why, we see every day a news channel is taking birth. Almost all channels are flooded with reality shows. In these shows the gimmick is to bind viewers for entire showtime in some way. They do it by emotionally blackmailing the participants and showing their past on big screen..saying that Look world..these individuals were nothing before they came. One such disappointment was Indian Idol. Sach ka Samna is another such disappointment.
What makes me sad about this is, that we all promoting it. Today everyone wants to gain instant fame and money. We are responsible for making TV industry a mess and so called sabji mandi. We have to realize, there is no short cut for success and fame. Sometimes, few of them can be lucky but its not the case with everyone.
