Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (P310) is my latest buddy on the go. Its features include numerous multimedia-oriented Samsung hubs and applications and voice call, video group chat.

Powered by latest Android OS and connected to various networks for seamless performance and great all-round usability. It packs multimedia, communication and top Internet functionality in one highly portable personal tablet device

Look and feel

Its color is pure white, It has got a plastic back body with Matt finish – metallic look with rounded corners, the overall shape is just like any other Samsung S3 phone. It has 7 inches display with 1024X600 LCD display (with 170 PPI), it’s an IPS/LPS capacitive display,

Hardware

There are in all three speakers for audio output. One tiny microphone aperture in the bottom and secondary microphone is on the top. It has got a 30 pin connector port. On the right side there are 2 push buttons one is volume control along and the second is power lock and unlock push button & an aperture for 3.5mm head phone jack. On the left side there are two slots with spring loaded doors one is Micro SD card slot (supports up to 32 GB) and another is SIM Card slot. Front VGA Camera of 3 Mega Pixel which support HD 1080 Video at 30 frames per second. Here we have secondary camera which is 0.3 MP.

Software

It is running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean having all onscreen buttons and no off screen buttons, Pinch to zoom feature is quite convenient to scroll through. Display is quite crisp & Orientation is really smooth and fairly responsive. You can add up to 7 customizable dash boards and Quick launch is something where you can pin any of your apps to be started quickly. It has ICS + Touchwiz 2UI. It is preloaded with Samsung App Store, Google Play Store and Kobo Book reader & Polaris office; it opens all the MS 2003 and 2007 documents and all PDF documents.

Conclusion

This device has got full phone calling capabilities. It’s a complete package and is hybrid to Smart Phone and a full tablet, the overall quality is quite superior, slim & quite comfortable to hold, After owning it I realized this device can safely replace a phone but for this I need to carry my Bluetooth headset.
