It gives me immense pleasure to share that BusinessWeek’s List of Most Powerful People in India Includes a Blogger Amit Verma.
Blogging in India is still in its infancy it involves mostly part-timers and very few proffesional bloggers, but it seems that scenario is changing fast. Blogger Amit Verma who started blogging about five years back at hugely popular India Uncut blog, has been named by BusinessWeek magazine as one of the most powerful people in India for 2009 along with fifty other famous Politicians, Entrepreneurs, Sports Personnel, Artists and many other. He has a book coming up and has won the 2007 Bastiat Prize for his columns in Indian business paper Mint.
As per Businessweek
Blogger Amit Varma brings a particular libertarian point of view to his columns and blog items, but also a risqué sense of humor that keeps readers hooked. He won the 2007 Bastiat Prize for his columns in Indian business paper Mint, and for a select group of Indians, he represents a libertarian, anti-tax and anti-government sensibility that is still quite rare in the country.
This example is enough to guide fellow bloggers that identify you niche and write well. My heartiest Congratulations to Amit Verma and I sincerely hope to see more Indian bloggers working for change and using their power for good.
Mood: Cheerful
Good news!!
