I have heard the word Blog for very first time in year 2006. At that point of tme I never realized that one day I’ll be so keen about blogs. A blog can be deined in a varied manner. However trying keeping it simple here are few points worth considering.

Soul of blogging is writing

A blog is a frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links. Blog is outcome of two words Web + Log. It is often a mixture of what is happening in a blogger’s (one who blogs) life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary and guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.

Blogs are alternatively called web-logs. However, the word “blog” seems less confusing, as “web log” can also mean a server’s log files.

People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with the introduction of automated published systems, most notably Blogger at blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger to simplify and accelerate the publishing process.
